Another benefit to staying overnight before your cruise is that many of Southampton’s hotels offer free parking and a shuttle to the port, usually with only a one-night stay required. Although Southampton is geared toward welcoming visitors and has many hotel rooms to choose from, we recommend you make your reservations in advance, especially during the busy periods for cruises (e.g. school holidays and summer) or during events when hotels might be booked up.
